A SET OF SIX PORCELAIN CUPS AND SAUCERS FROM THE DRAGON SERVICE
BY THE KORNILOV PORCELAIN FACTORY, ST PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1840-1861
Each cylindrical, on gilt scalloped foot, the body decorated with oval cartouches painted with varicoloured seashells, flowers and branching corals within gilt frame, on coral pink ground with densely painted gilt foliate scrolls, gilt piecrust rims and dragon-shaped handles, the cups with gilt interiors, all marked under base with impressed Cyrillic factory mark (12)

Lot Essay
