Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with raised gold hour markers and gold bracelet in 1953 and its subsequent sale on 6 May 1954. The Extract further states that the watch is adorned with 6 diamonds of approx. 0.18 ct and 33 emeralds of approx. 2.01 ct.

To the best of our knowledge this watch has never been offered at auction before. It is furthermore believed to be one of only two examples of a reference 3093 to have appeared in public to date, however the only one featuring the retailer's signature Serpico y Laino.

Reference 3093 was in production during a very short period of time in the mid-1950s and was made in an exceedingly small series.
