Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with platinum bracelet in 1961 and its subsequent sale on 10 August 1962. The Extract further confirms that the watch is adorned by 26 baguette diamonds of approximately 1.98 ct.

This very fine example of a reference 3424/2 is believed to be one of only three examples of the celebrated "Ricochet" model in platinum with diamond-set bezel and platinum bracelet to appear in public to date. Fresh to the market and consigned by an important private collector it is furthermore preserved in excellent overall condition.
