Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with slate-grey or "anthracite" dial and luminous Roman hour markers in white gold in 1999 and its subsequent sale on 30 June 1999.

Consigned by a private collector, this watch has never been offered in public before.

Reference 5035 was the first wristwatch ever to be fitted with an annual calendar. It was in production from 1996 to 2005.

The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 323.
