Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and raised hour markers in gold in 1938 and its subsequent sale on 14 June 1939. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe period brown presentation box.

The present reference 504 is a fine example of this exceedingly rare model, distinguished by its bold, bi-coloured case design.

Reference 504 was launched in 1932 and remained in production until around 1939. It is doubtlessly amongst Patek Philippe's most daring pre-World War II design.
