It is furthermore believed to be one of only two examples of a white gold reference 3428 with enamel dial to appear in public to date.
Reference 3428 was introduced in 1960 until the mid-1960s and was made in an exceedingly small series only. It is the successor of Patek Philippe's first model featuring a self-winding movement, reference 2526. Whereas reference 2526 is fitted with the celebrated calibre 12'''600, reference 3428 is equipped with the second generation self-winding movement, calibre 27-460.
