Reference 6582, affectionately called "Zephyr" by Rolex aficionados, is immediately recognisable by its unusual, so-called "astral" bezel featuring engraved hour and minute markers. Launched in the second half of the 1950s, the model was exclusively available in stainless steel and gold, the dials quartered by two lines. The model was fitted with a calibre 1030. Around 1959, it was replaced by reference 1008.
The present "Zephyr" is a highly unusual representative of this rare model, featuring a black lacquer dial with outer champagne-coloured minute ring, lending the watch a very sophisticated appearance.
