With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the present watch with silvered dial, 12 raised gold indexes in 1987 and its subsequent sale on 30 June 1987.

The present watch is still retaining its original protective sticker to the case back and is in overall very good condition.

Reference 3940 is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 292-293.
