With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated February 2006, additional 18k pink gold case back, instruction manual, product literature, fitted presentation box and outer packaging. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and indexes in pink gold in 2006 and its subsequent sale on 17 February 2006.

Reference 5970 was introduced to the market at the Basel Fair in April 2005 and replaced the celebrated reference 3970. The model immediately enjoyed enormous popularity amongst collectors and was available in white gold or pink gold only until 2007 when the production of these two versions ceased. Reference 5970 in yellow gold (please see lot 4749) was in production only in 2008. Reference 5970 was available in platinum until 2010 and then replaced by reference 5270 in 2011.
