Thence by descent
Brothers Albrecht and Rudy von Leyden, the latter of whom served as the preeminent art critic for the Times of India and other publications, arrived from Germany to Mumbai in the early 1930s and were instrumental to introducing the prevailing modes of International Modernism to artists in India and in particular mentoring the Progressive Artists Group.
Thence by descent
