Lot Essay

Giuseppe Tagliariol was born in Treviso in 1915. After studying ceramics under Cacciapuloti in Milan and being made assistant professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, he opened a studio in Monza in 1952.

Perhaps the most famous of his sculptures, an example of his Bald Headed Eagle was presented to Ronald Reagan when President of the USA.
