Through their visionary collecting and philanthropic dedication, Isabell and Max Herzstein demonstrated a celebrated and lifelong commitment to the arts. Isabell served as Lifetime Trustee of the Houston Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabell Smith Herzstein Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Art was established in 1984 at the University of Texas at Austin, sponsored by funds from Max Herzstein to benefit the College of Fine Arts. Christie's is pleased to offer works from the Estate of Isabell and Max Herzstein in lots 1, 57, 58, 93, 111, 176 and 208.
