Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1942 and its subsequent sale on 28 April 1943. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe servicing invoice dated 1 June 1999 and servicing tag.

The present watch is a fine example of the rare reference 1534, distinguished by its elegant lug design. It is believed to be one of only ten examples of a reference 1534 in pink gold to appear in public to date.

Production of reference 1534 was launched in 1942. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 178, pl. 279.
