shaped-cartouche box, the cover applied with an oval blue guilloché enamel plaque set with paste cypher of Alexander III (1845-1894), Tsar of Russia 1881-1894, within a paste surround, flanked by six silver-mounted paste stones within pierced and stamped scrollwork on a translucent blue enamel ground, the sides engraved and embossed with floral scrolls, the base of translucent blue, enamelled en taille d'épargne with scrolling foliage and central floral-spray, in fitted red leather case stamped 'C.E. BOLIN JOAILLIER DE LA COUR ST PETERSBOURG', the cover with Russian Imperial arms
