Each of flaring form, the loop handles to the sides with flat square panels to the tops, each carved with ruyi motifs and Chinese characters, the long sides of the cups delicately carved with flowers and foliage, the stones of greyish-celadon tone

Lot Essay

There is a single Chinese character carved on each of the handles which combined reads ji xiang ru yi. This may be translated as 'may your wishes come true'.
