AN ART DECO RUBY AND DIAMOND BROOCH
Of stylised epaulette form, the circular panel surmount with central baguette-cut diamond detail within a pavé brilliant-cut diamond ground, to the widening lower section similarly set with a further rectangular-cut diamond accent and central cabochon ruby cluster, circa 1930, French marks for platinum, 10.7cm long
Accompanied by report no.197095 dated 20 January 2012 from the Laboratoire Francais de Gemmologie, Paris, stating that one ruby tested as a sample from this brooch has 'characteristics of rubies from Burma and no indication of thermal enhancement'
