Details
Château La Mission-Haut-Brion--Vintage 1975
Pessac (Graves), cru classé
In original wooden case. Seven slightly corroded capsules, one damaged. Bin-soiled labels, damp-affected, some re-attached, four slightly stained. Levels: five base of neck, seven top-shoulder
Tasting note: Many notes. As distinctive as always. Could only be La Mission. Rich, crisp, surprisingly sweet finish and aftertaste despite more than a touch of astringency which coped well with a cheese soufflé. Last tasted at a Bordeaux Club dinner at Caius, Cambridge, June 2000 **** M.B.
