Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1953 and its subsequent sale on November 16th of the same year. Further accompanied by a Patek Philippe presentation box.

To the best of our knowledge this watch has never before been offered in public.

Patek Philippe launched the reference 1593 in 1944 and it was mostly available in gold with few examples in platinum.

The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by M. Huber & A. Banbery, second edition, pages 128 & 129, as well as page 141.
