Lot Essay
'There is an electric sense of telekinesis in the work, as if the vessels were magnetically summoned from myriad houses and huts to cling to one another. They have gathered - almost humming, it seems, kept in place by energy alone-ready to lift off and surprise another people. RAQS [Media Collective] called this phenomenon the 'choreography of meanings and effects' that ultimately show the objects dancing in the whirlwind that they actually inhabit in today's world. Of course the sculpture doesn't spin, float, fly or dissipate. It is not actually magic, but it is imbued with a sincerity of purpose that believes anything is possible.'
