Decorated in typical coloured enamels and gilt on underglaze blue, with eight panels in the form of poem papers [tanzaku], depicting auspicious motifs, squirrels, grapes and peaches on a gilt ground of chrysanthemum, beneath bands of stylised flowers and foliage
