Rectangular with rounded corners, enamelled overall with varicoloured pan-Slavic, geometric and foliate motifs, the cover centring a stylised monster, the reverse enamelled with a bogatyr on a horse, with cabochon chrysoprase push-piece and silver thumb-piece on the side, gilt interior, marked inside cover and base
