With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and Breguet numerals in white gold in 1993 and its subsequent sale on 11 May 1993. Furthermore delivered with a Patek Philippe slip case.

The present lot is fresh to the market.

Reference 3842 was introduced in 1983 and was still listed in Patek Philippe's catalogues in 1998. The platinum version, such as the present example, was available with either breguet or diamond-set numerals. According to our research, less than 6 examples with breguet numerals have come back to the market since its first appearance.
