Oval gilt-finished cylinder movement, white enamel dial, Roman numerals, in oval case with glazed aperture for the diamond-set balance with curved arms, surrounded by black enamel and laurel wreath decoration, portico-shaped pearl-set outer case, blue and turquoise enamel to the front, black enamel and gold laurel wreaths to the back, a hinged oval cover to the back opened by depressing the pearl-set finial, decorated with a finely painted polychrome enamel bouquet of flowers, black and turquoise champlevé enamel geometrical decorated sides, surmounted by gold wings with translucent royal blue enamel front and black enamel back, centred by a gold torch, suspended from a short length of gold chain, unsigned
