Lot Essay

Redy Rahadian combines art and technology in Human Tower(Lot 381) as can be seen from the craftsmanship and the architectural element of the sculpture. Redy painstakingly weld each steel man together, ?combining and integrating them into one cohesive structure. The undulating form of the structure reminds the viewers of water waves. Just like the water molecules that move together in harmony, the steel human are depicted to move in one synergistic movement, symbolising a sophisticated civilisation that Redy envisioned. However, the undulating form of the structure is brought to an extreme. The pike and the crest of the wave is elongated, exuding an element of surprise and also reminding the viewers that human as a society can reach the impossible when we all are united, supporting each other.
