Staples. A Rare and Unusual Gilt and Color Stones Two Tune Musical Automaton Virgule Pair Case Coach Watch with Gregorian and Lunar Calendars and Center Seconds

Mechanical gilt finished full-plate virgule movement, chain fusée, brass escape wheel, impulse on the balance staff, music barrel and train with music playing on the hour and on demand, five blades and five hammers on five bells, cam to change melody, music cylinder with ten discs with triangular pins, white enamel dial, eccentric hour and minute dial at the 12 position, three small subsidiary dials for constant seconds, day and melody change for Silent, Minuet and Jigg, two larger subsidiary dials for Gregorian and lunar calendars, polychrome enamel scene over the movement viewed through the skeletonized back with a maiden and triangle and a satyr in an idyllic landscape, a quarter window cutout revealing three individual polychrome enamel rings which rotate as the music plays, the large outer ring with limbs of the devil, a priest, a man, a witch, the Grim Reaper, a lawyer and a gentleman, the middle ring representing bodies of the same without the bird, the small inner ring with heads of humans, Grim Reaper, fox and devil, the uneven numbers allows for the various body parts to align in various sequences, resulting in bizarre and unnatural combinations, inner circular case with pierced and engraved sides, engraved image of man at the 6 position in the band, engraved swag motif around the case back aperture, plain bezel with chime lever for on-demand music, Stops and Goes lever for larger center seconds chronograph, outer pierced and engraved case, bezel front and back with red and white stones, dial signed, movement numbered
