Lot Essay

Throughout the firm's history, Vacheron Constantin has placed much importance on attention to detail when it came to decorating and embellishing watches with techniques such as engraving, enamelling, and setting jewels. The present watch is a fine example of how the firm embraced and combined jewelry design with watchmaking.

A similar style watch is illustrated in Secrets of Vacheron Constantin, by Franco Cologni, 2005 edition, page 307.
