Although the present drawing does not bear Mariette's mark it seems that it was part of his great collection and would have been associated with a Capriccio view of the Pantheon belonging to the Jean Bonna Collection, Geneva (Rosenberg, op. cit., no. F.2714). See also Suite française. Dessins de la collection Jean Bonna, exhib. cat., Paris, Ecole de Beaux-Arts, 2006, no. 49.
