Accompanied by a copy of a letter, signed by Victor Schrager, Director of Light Gallery and dated August 19, 1976, in which he states: 'This letter will confirm that the Paul Strand photograph, 'Mill Dam, New England', 1945, is an orginal, fine silver print made by Paul Strand, and purchased by Light gallery from the Estate of Paul Strand in 1976.'
