Peter Fischli born Zurich, 1952; David Weiss born Zurich, 1946; Fischli studied at Accademia di Belle Arti, Urbino, 1975-76, and Academia di Belle Arti, Bologna, 1976-77; Weiss studied at Kunstgewerbeschule, Basel (sculpture class), 1964-65 and Vorkurs, Kunstgewerbeschule, Zurich, 1963-64. They began their collaboration in 1979. Solo exhibitions include: Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, 1987; Musée National d'Art Moderne, Centre de Georges Pompidou, Paris, 1992; Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, 1999; Tate Modern, London, 2007; Serpentine Gallery, London, 2013. Group exhibitions include: Light Show, Hayward Gallery, London, 2013. David Weiss died in 2012. Peter Fischli lives in Zurich.
