Further Details
Born Appenzell, Switzerland, 1938. Studied at the Schule für Gestaltung, Zürich, Switzerland, 1966. Studied sculpture at the Schule für Gestaltung, Lucerne, Switzerland, 1969 - 1971. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw, Poland, 1971-1972. Solo exhibitions include: Swiss Pavilion, 48th Venice Biennale, 1999; The Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh, Scotland, 2007; Häusler Contemporary, Munich, Germany, 2012. Group exhibitions include: Eye on Europe, Museum of Modern Art, New York, 2006; The New Décor, Hayward Gallery, London, 2010; Back and Forth - 3, England South London Gallery, London, England, 2013. Winner of several awards including Prix Meret Oppenheim, St. Gallen, Switzerland. He lives in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
