Lot Essay

The present Submariner reference 1680 is noteworthy due to its retailers' signature and very good overall condition with crisp milling on the back and sharp outlines. Adorned with the prestigious retailer's name of Tiffany & Co. on the dial, it is a clean and well-preserved specimen of a late 1970s Rolex Submariner. The desirability of this watch is also enhanced by its so-called nipple dial with applied luminous dot, baton and dagger numerals that confers the watch its overall harmony.
