There are two known versions of this painting of Keats by Severn; the original, painted for Fanny Brawne, is in the collection of the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge (R. Bayne-Powell, Catalogue of Portrait Miniatures in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, Cambridge, 1985, no. 713, pp. 195-6 and G. Reynolds, British Portrait Miniatures in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, 1998, pp. 128-9); the other is in the National Portrait Gallery, London (inv. no. NPG1605).
