Provenance
Sold with the lot is a copy of an original photograph of the wedding of Mercedes Dose to Alexander von Dietrichstein at the Saint Honoré d'Eylau Church in Paris. The wedding is described in the book "Argentina, the Golden Years, 1899-1939", by Alberto Dodero and Philippe Cros.
This dress was a wedding present from Coco Chanel, who was a good friend of the bride and bridegroom.
