Cylindrical, the cover applied with a gold rouble en plein enamelled with the portrait of Catherine the Great in profile, dated 1767 on reverse, the borders densely chased with rococo scrolls, the thumb-piece formed as a foliate flower-head set with rose-cut diamonds and cabochon rubies, the sides chased with spiral flutes, marked under base
1.1/8 in. (2.8 cm.) high
