Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvery-rose dial in 1943 and its subsequent sale on May 5th of the following year.

To the best of our knowledge this watch has never before been offered in public.

Reference 592 was produced from 1938 through 1945 in yellow gold, pink gold, and stainless steel, and no more than 400 examples of this reference were produced in total. The majority had the caliber 12 120, and it is estimated that around 50 examples were made with the caliber 12 SCi, with sweep center seconds.
