Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated June 21st, 2012, sealed additional case back with decorative motif in the corners, product literature in a leather portfolio, Patek Philippe veneered presentation box, and outer packaging.

The split seconds Ref. 5950A features the ultra-thin caliber CHR 27-525 PS, as well as the PP Seal, which shows a level of quality that goes beyond the Geneva Seal standards. The silver opaline dial elegantly decorated with black lacquer-filled engravings, a final touch is the tang buckle with similar black lacquer-filled engravings. Inspired by the legendary cushion shaped 'tortue' chronographs and split chronographs of the 1920s, the Reference 5950 was introduced to the market in 2010 and instantly became a highly desirable watch to own. With a current retail price of 441,600 SF (equivalent to approximately $484,000), this watch is sought after by collectors for its beauty and rarity. This is only the second piece of this reference known top appear at auction.
