Further accompanied by a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated December 9, 2005, leather portfolio with product literature, large Patek Philippe wooden presentation box with key, and outer packaging.

Launched in 2005, the reference 5959 draws inspiration from early Patek Philippe chronographs, and is the firm's first fully in-house chronograph movement. The movement is ultra-thin for such a fine complicated watch, and is cased in platinum only.
The desirability of this split-seconds chronograph is furthermore enhanced by it's factory sealed presentation, and it's movement number indicates that it is the first of this reference to be sold.
Despite still being listed today in Patek Philippe catalogues, the reference 5959 is already considered a classic amongst collectors.
