Lot Essay

According to the Musée d'Horlogerie du Locle, the present watch movement was completed July 1876, with further adjustments completed October 29, 1877 and the final case work August 24, 1881. The final sale order is recorded as November 25, 1881, to an address in New York. At the time the watch cost 1226 Swiss Francs.
