The Vacheron Constantin Kalla line came out of a gold and diamond "Kallista" watch, created in 1979, and became part of their Metiers d'Art collection. Since then, Vacheron Constantin has developed the Lord and Lady Kalla lines with a succession of diamond watches, and in 2001 the Lady Kalla won the title of "Montre Joaillerie du Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève". In December of 2011, Christie's New York sold Elizabeth Taylor's Lord Kalla bracelet watch, a gift to the star from her friend Michael Jackson.
