Lot Essay

A strong and immediate attraction to this work that has become, in a certain sense, our own private heaven. At home it is situated on the top floor, in an open-plan room beside the stairs, between two cold white lights that illuminate it from above and below, so that its blue appears in three different shades: the lightest and brightest on the two outer surfaces and the deepest, darkest inside. When you climb the stairs and behold its vision, you feel that you have arrived in a special place: perhaps in a “non place”.
The void is in reality a fullness, a darkness that urges you to find your own light inside; a silent firmament into which to project and find yourself (or not find yourself), but also to question yourself about the sense of the infinite. A work that envelops you and captivates you with its particular magnetism: it is complex to make it yours. But if you succeed, its void is transformed into the realisation of a “full encounter”, a welcome return, an assonance that lightens your soul.
