The upper tier with shaped overhanging rim, inset with a glazed plaque depicting an exotic bird on a cherry blossom branch, the front with a concealed drawer, supported on fluted cylindrical uprights joined by an under-tier inset with a similar plaque, on tapering fluted cylindrical legs and cast sabots, twice stamped 'HENRY DASSON 1879' to the underside and to the mount, the underside of the plaque stamped 'ENGEL & TREMBLAT, 31 & 33 RUE DE LA ROQUETTE À PARIS'
