Lot Essay

This lot emblematises the birth of movement and growth, as the contrast between the exploding life of the leaves and the "dead", bone-like structure seems to show. Movement of liberation of organic forms, with sexual undertones (those of the birth of life), with the opening of the red flower and the revelation of its pistil (masculine, phallic and feminine, shell-like organs), two active principles which definitely give rise to the undisputable energy to the whole work.
