Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Certifcate of Origin dated 1 June 2011, additional case back, setting pin, sales tag, instruction manual, product literature, leather wallet, leather portfolio, slip case, fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

This example of Patek Philippe's iconic reference 5971 is possibly one of the best kept secret within this family. In fact, unknown within the collector's community and fully confirmed by the certificate from Patek Philippe, the present emerald-set reference 5971 is a true landmark as no more than 10 pieces have been manufactured with such a lavish yet sophisticated dial.

Fresh to the market, this reference 5971, fitted with 42 emeralds weighing approx. 3.33 carats, is furthermore in unworn condition. A collector's mind could hardly imagine a more stylish and "over-the-top" example.
