Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confrming production of the present watch with silvered dial and applied gold hour markers in 1944 and its subsequent sale on 23 August 1945. Furthermore delivered with a fitted pouch.

Reference 1450, also known as "Top Hat", was in production from 1940 until the 1960s. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alain Banbery, 2nd edition p. 137, pl. 196.
