Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the movement of the present watch in 1966 and its subsequent sale on 21 October 1966.

This watch is believed to be one of only 8 examples of a reference 3429 in pink gold known to exist to date. It has never been offered in public before and is furthermore preserved in very good overall condition, the rarity enhanced by the pink gold Gay Frères bracelet.

Reference 3429 replaced reference 3415 and was in production from 1960 to 1969, the majority cased in yellow gold, few examples in white gold and only one known so far in platinum.
