Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1962 and its subsequent sale on 20 November 1962.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never been offered at auction before.

Production of reference 2584 was launched in 1958 and replaced by reference 3435 in 1960, the majority cased in yellow gold and only a small number in pink gold.

The model features a water-resistant-style snap on back with a raised border fitting tightly into the case, hence protecting it against the ingress of humidity.
