A RUBY AND DIAMOND RING, BY CUSI
Set with an oval-shaped ruby weighing approximately 10.24 carats, flanked by shield-shaped diamonds, mounted in platinum and 18k yellow gold, ring size 6 Signed Cusi Accompanied by report no. 74158 dated 10 April 2014 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the approximately 10.00 carat ruby is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating; also accompanied by an appendix stating that the ruby possesses extraordinary characteristics and merits special mention and appreciation. The ruby with a remarkable size exhibits an attractive vivid purplish red colour combined with an exceptional purity. The few tiny inclusions found by microscopic inspection represent the hallmarks of rubies from the classical ruby mines in the Mogok valley in Burma (Myanmar), well known for its wealth in gems since historic times. Its vivid colour is due to a combination of well-balanced trace elements in this gemstone, characteristics for the finest rubies from Mogok. In addition to these qualities, this ruby has been spared exposure to heat treatment and its clarity and colour are thus all natural. A natural ruby from Burma of this size and quality is very rare and exceptional
Also accompanied by duplicate report no. 12110003 dated 27 February 2014 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the 10.24 carat ruby is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating
