Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated October 6, 2008, Patek Philippe veneered presentation box, additional hard back, setting pin, leather portfolio with product literature, and outer packaging.

Reference 5033 unites the complications of a minute repeater with an annual calendar. Production began in 2002 in platinum only, and the reference was discontinued in 2012.

The present lot is a rare opportunity for the connoisseur of complicated modern Patek Philippe wristwatches to acquire one that was produced in such limited numbers. Patek Philippe minute repeating wristwatches undergo some of the highest quality checks in the industry, including a performance test by the Patek Philippe president, first Philippe Stern and now Thierry Stern, in which they listen to the sound of each watch to ensure it is up to standard.
