Maria Almas-Dietrich, Munich, as Portrait of the Artist's Wife, purchased from the above for RM 18.000 for the Sonderauftrag, Linz, January 1943 (Linz no. 2491/1081).
Recovered by the Monuments Fine Arts and Archives Section from the Salt Mines, Alt Aussee (Alt Aussee no. 4190), and transferred to the Central Collecting Point, Munich, 12 October 1945 (MCCP no. 8970).
Given to the custody of the Austrian Government, 18 January 1952.
Mauerbach Benefit Sale; Christie's, Vienna, 29-30 October 1996, lot 584.
Acquired at the above sale by the present owner.
