Lot Essay

US$5,000-8,000

Rolex created many different dial designs but also with an impressive number of different materials. Rolex experimented with different hard-stones, but also mother-of-pearl, coral, onyx, lapis lazuli and tiger-eye such as the present lot. Due to their fragile nature and high manufacturing cost (an unusually high percentage of these dials break during the production process), these are highly sought after collectors' items and likely to increase in rarity in the years to come.

This watch is offered here in overall excellent condition.
